As we know, a water leak detector is one of the best ways to detect water leaks and prevent further damage.
How does it work?
- Install battery, turn on the sensor
- Install water leak detector in basement, kitchen, toilet or appliances such as dishwasher, washing machine, water heater, water pump...
- Detect the leak
- Alarm sound to notice
- APP / SMS / Phone call notification to your smartphone or Alexa, Google Home (if your water leak detector support wifi, zwave, zigbee... )
How do I choose a water leak detector & alarm sensor?
1. Work alone & only sound notice. If there are families at home most of the time (or you don't want to spend too much), you can select low-cost water detectors that work independently.
2. WiFi functions.
If there are times when no one is at home, you can try using water detectors with app notifications. This will allow you to receive notifications even while on vacation and call someone to turn off the water at home.
3. With cable or without cable.
Please check the install environments, if not have enough space or under sink (or like sump pump), suggest to choose the sensor with cable.
